About me
Mira Winick is a director in film and mixed-media theatre. Mira draws upon her passions for social justice activism to create films and stage productions that challenge oppressive ideologies, particularly around mental health. Her most recent directorial works include the AR immersive theater piece A Most Favored Nation and the short film 10pm Closing. Mira attended the University of California, Los Angeles where she obtained a degree in theater directing and a minor in film. While at UCLA, she worked at the Center for Research in Engineering, Media and Performance (REMAP) and where Mira cultivated her passion for XR storytelling. Among her other creative XR projects, Mira is currently producing an immersive theater piece with the Altera theater company in Los Angeles.
